We're here at Hotel Wozo in Mirebalais which is 60 km from Port au Prince.   The drive, though hairy was amazing.   We drove through the colorful, bustling town where Haitians are selling their wares along the road.  Stuff like bread, fruit, luggage, clothing, shoes, you name it, we saw it,  even petrol in gallon size plastic containers.  I thought it was Mazola oil for cooking.   Maggie thought our drive was going to be worse.  After we drove through the town, the road up the mountain was paved.  After arrival we quickly cleaned up then made our way to the hotel restaurant and had dinner together.  It was a creole style meal of chicken,  lamb, goat or beef with rice and beans and fried plantains!  Delicious!

The wifi at the hotel is not like it is at home so photos take a long time to load.  This is me, at the Hopital Universitaire de Mirebalais today.  I think that is their ambulance.  This is the vehicle that escorted us up the mountainous road from the airport yesterday with sirens blaring.
This is me standing in front of the hotel sign.  There is a guarded gate at the entrance of the hotel.  This morning Maggie and I took a walk inside the perimeter of the hotel property where this photo was taken.  It's quite a posh hotel for Haitian standards.  We are comfy!  The team is awesome.
Patti just arrived so we are now complete!  All 12 of us are here.

Dr Fried enjoying the tour!
